9 months later...

I was talking to two wonderful moms today and I was telling them how much I absolutely LOVE pregnancy and birth. For those who didn't know, now you know why I have so many kids! LOL! God knew I tell you because NONE of the Fab Five (that's what I call my kids now) were planned or even wanted when they came into this world...yes, you read right! NONE! Not even one...and ESPECIALLY not the last one...I literally cried my eyes out. But my oh so wise hubby had to bring me back to my senses (as he knows how to do so well) and remind me that we cannot treat God's blessing as a curse! So true. Anyway, back to my story. As I was telling them, I almost became a midwife. The only reason why I didn't was because when I applied to the Midwifery program at Ryerson U, I was not accepted because of a stupid English OAC class! The grade required was 70 and I think I had 67 or something like that. Can you believe that? But you know what? EVERYTHING happens for a reason! I was very very devasted at first, but I reminded myself that since I turned 19 years old (which was yesterday LOL! ok, ok, I do feel like I'm in my early 20's but really I'm in the early 30's. I would argue that nowadays the 30's are the 20's and the 40's are the 30's...) and made a decision to follow Christ, I live my life with this principle: ALL THINGS work together for the GOOD of those that love God, to those who are the called according to HIS PURPOSE (Romans 8: 28). Yes, His purpose indeed! I really didn't realize then that the desire I had was really for what I'm doing today...God wanted to make me a midwife not of babies but of DREAMS and VISIONS! How thankful I am for that! I am in the 9th month of my own pregnancy...my 6th and final baby, MOMpowered. For those who thought I gave birth to MOMpowered already, you haven't seen nothing yet! You are still looking at an ultrasound picture! LOL! Anyway, it's hard to believe that it's been 9 months already since I started this company. It has been quite the ride I tell you!
