Hey bloggers! I haven't been hiding from you, honestly! I have had some major realizations this past few weeks that have brought me to rethink a few things in my business. The great thing about being married to an entrepreneur is that he feels you. When you mess up, he takes on the mess with you. It feels great to have this kind of support and I've never been more encouraged despite the present apparent bleak situation I'm in. I can even say we're in. But you know what? The bible talks about focussing on the truth instead of the reality. And the truth is that I know that there are amazing things that are about to emerge from this. That's one of the wonderful things about being a spiritual entrepreneur. Oh, you never heard this term huh? Yeah me neither until I came across someone who articulated it. I mean this is exactly who I am but I never really thought about actually giving myself this title. Check out http://www.jenblackert.com/. Jen has some very interesting concepts that I've been applying unconsciously just because I'm a believer.
Honestly speaking people, I personally think it's practically impossible to be a successful entrepreuneur without faith. But that's just my humble opinion so take it or leave it! :) You need to believe that you're gonna make it, come what may. You need to learn to pratice what a pastor I was listening to calls "Inversive Insight". He has this really awesome video clip on Transforming Your Finances, check it out! Anyway, I would even coin it as Inversive Eyesight. I mean, things were really going well, membership was growing on a weekly basis it was greatt! And then this month, I haven't had one membership come in! Now normally this would not have been such a big deal if I had some other source of cash flow going (my bad of course). Cause even if income is not coming in, expenses are still piling if you catch my drift! So I'm sure you can understand my reality here. I'm starting to experience some of the reasons why they say most new businesses fail after the first 1-3 years. Ok, can I tell you a secret? I've been dealing with my business more as a professional then an entrepreneur. What does that mean you say? Well, I learned this today through a great coaching call I was on. By the way, check out http://www.teresia.com/ when you have a chance. You can hear the recording here. Teresia and her colleague Sandi have an awesome program on turning your passion into profit. Because I've been pursuing my passion more than taking care of what it takes for me to remain in business (like marketing!!!) I am now in a position that I have to reinvent my business. Good thing I understand that this is all part of the entrepreneurial journey.
I've come to realize that someone like me cannot have it as easy as I thought I would have it you know. I gotta have a testimony. But to have a testimony, you need to go through a test as my hubby oh so eloquently put it. Another preacher said you can't be afraid of the process. When going for the gold medal (this being the Olympic season and all), you can't be afraid of the process and you can't give up at the sight of trouble. I believe in this dream so much that I know that it can't die. It can only multiply! That's why I'm going back to the drawing board people. I've got some great ideas to reinvent my business and make sure that this does not happen to me again! I am very scared but very excited at the same time. Does that make sense? Actually, I'm working on getting rid of the fear part by being bold and trying new things on a daily basis and it's working! Is there something you're afraid of? Be it personal or business related, CHARGE RIGHT INTO IT by doing something crazy!! I'm telling you it works! Let me know how it goes!
Ho ho ho... MERRY Christmas
