Good evening Bloggers! Can you believe that the month of August is coming to an end? I mean, am I the only one who's trying to catch up with the time here? I've had the slowest month ever when it comes to business though. It is quite phenomenal. I guess I should enjoy it because I do know that come September, I will have a great boom so I need to be prepared. I came across this quote a few days ago that I've been pondering upon (hence the title of this post):
"It takes teamwork to make the dream work."
I totally agree with this statement. But how do you effectively communicate the dream to the team? And who exactly should be part of that team? I have to admit that it is somewhat of a foreign concept to me because I am SO used to doing everything myself. So much so that I am having a really hard time expressing my wants and needs to the people that want to help. I guess I am in the process of developing leadership in a whole new way. I've always been in control of all my projects and so on and have come accustomed to getting the job done the way that I want it done and when I want it done. Letting go and delegating are HUGE issues for me. I think I talked about this in an earlier post. Now, I'm at a point where I need to get this down packed because I'm going to go from no clients this month to hundreds all at once next month, I just know it!
So yeah, it takes teamwork. This is especially true when you're building a mutli-billion dollar empire. But one think I'm glad about (thank God for the internet) is that the people that are part of the team don't have to be people that are physically present or that you even know. I've been Facebook friends with this woman named Biana Babinsky who has a company called Marketing Salad. I just purchased a membership and she now officially part of my team without her even knowing it! LOL! Her knowledge and expertise is exactly what I need on the marketing side of my business and she presents it so effectively on her website that I have no need of her physical presence! But then I still need someone that will actually implement the strategy of course, but at least I'll know exactly what I want them to do and how now. Thank you Biana! You're making it easier for me on the marketing side of things. This is actually a huge chunk because marketing is really what my business needs to get to where it's destined to go.
Alright, I got about 10 days to get my team in place in time for the increase. YIKES! I did give everyone the business plan last week and we are scheduled to meet to discuss, plan strategize in the next few days. Please forgive me if you don't hear from me in the next 2 to 3 days. I'll try to keep you involved in the process as much as possible. And if you have any suggestions on effective teambuilding techniques or how to stop being a solopreneur and delegate to others, please let me know! I need all the help I can get right now! Thanks!
Ho ho ho... MERRY Christmas
